In the US I'm a size S, but in Japan I'm a size L. That is a whole two sizes bigger, way too short, and a tight fit! It's a shame because they have so many cute clothes I can never wear, even with excessive tailoring. While the US has too many "sexy" and "hot" clothes, Japan's styles are cute and demure. It's exactly what I'm looking for
It's extremely hard shopping for clothes and shoes when dealing with Japanese sizing simply because I'm not Japanese. My size in clothes and shoes is non-existent in Japan unless I import from a "tall store" in the US. Luckily, I still live in the US where there's a 25% chance of finding clothes that fit and aren't made to look whorish.
It makes me wonder how vastly different body types and size are in America than Japan.
