I brought Absolute Boyfriend to read in my classes, since they can be pretty boring. I began reading the first volume, hoping that I didn't draw attention to myself... and failed. I forgot there was a naked (effectively covered/censored) boy on the cover and sat it down face up. Fail.
"A-are you reading yaoi?"
I did not expect that. After that about 4 other girls yelled, "I read that!" when they saw the book. I know it's a shoujo, but I wasn't expecting that many girls to read it. Then again, being a reader of seinen and shounen, I'm not used to girls reading manga.
Pretty sad...
